some craft projects are whack..

in REAL life.

they look all good on the inspirational websites and they don't tell you how annoying the whole process is gonna be.

this is an example of one of those whack projects..

yesterday i mentioned that some craft projects suck.
yea.. it's that SAME one that i started like FIVE days ago..
when i'm workin' on sumthin for that long, i wanna see BIG results. and each day this thing looked the SAME way.

corny.

it's not a complicated craft at all.. it's just ANNOYING. i didn't think crafting could be annoying..

this one proved me sOoo wrong.. o_O

that lil' bowl in the center took about FIVE days to make..  o_O
ALL that paper was left & i was DONE.
all you do is cut strips of magazine and wrap them up in a lil' wheel shape..

you know how most times when you start a project you can't WAIT to see the finished result so you work on it day & night?

not this one.. it's boring. lol

BUT.. there is one good side.. it's an eco-friendly craft project.. i saved at least .999999 % of the environment.. o_O

whatever.

i painted it.. cuz i didn't like the way it looked with all the magazine writing.. it looked junky.

but then it looked lonely to me.. like it needed some shtuff. ;)

i think i need to podge it!  but for the record.. it's definitely NOT gettin' anymore magazine strips!

DON'T try this at home.. it'll drive you nuts. ;)

green Harlem?

yup.. it's TRUE.. i would never even imagine folks in Harlem even CONSIDERING going green...

but here they are..

thanks to Good Housekeeping magazine, someone is gonna be living an "eco-friendly" life.. perhaps preserving a lil' bit of our polluted planet!

ya never know.. maybe others who will hear the buzz will be inspired to do some much-needed "green" renovations to their own "brown" stones.. =)

too bad you can't see the new stuff from the front... but as we ALL know, Harlem ain't the place you wanna show off your new digs. O_o

looks good, though.. to say the least.

bottles..

every now and then, i feel like i find something that makes me say to myself, "i think i've seen it ALL"... & i'm sure that's all cliche', but part of me feels that people have WAY too much free time on their hands, sO, they build houses.. out of plastic bottles.

hmm.. O_o

scary. but honestly, interesting..

i hafta say, after further research & examination, this is an aMaZing project.. i'm impressed.

and get this... it's GREEN!! We should ALL be building houses out of plastic bottles..

LOL

REUSE-ables!!

ok, for the record.. until i start SWIMMING in free-time, you'll probably find a lot more of other people's stuff on my blog than my own.

we all need inspiring ideas, right?

right.

=)

sOOoo.... here's one that's sure to make you wanna go green.. or at least partially. heh heh.

;-)

reuse the millions of embarrassing shopping bags you have into long-lasting ones..

we're always promised what? 2 ¢ per bag, right?? this way we're sure to bring them.. and get our 2¢ worth. as well as give it. =)
