only good thing to come out of this holiday for me was a lil' doodle.. 

NOTE to self: you really should make up holidays that benefit EVERYbody..

but not in this way..

sure, cops are benefitting (they won't be bored).. you benefit when you take what you want.

but, if the end result is you're locked up.. are you happy at the end of your *holiday*??

i don't think so.

halloween is coming..

i can't help but wonder how you guys feel.. i watched a couple of vids on youtube to help me make sense of the whole "halloween hype."  here's one of 'em..

my parents celebrate 40 years of marriage this weekend! no small feat!  

looking back over my childhood & my parents' relationship, i'm amaZed that they've made it this far..

but then again, i'm surprised that my j-boy#1 & i have made it this far also!

let's face it.. ALL kinds of statistics are stacked against marriages.

infidelity

pornography

covetousness

greed

selfishness

laziness

lack of commitment

selfishness

abuse

fears

selfishness..

did i mention SELFISHNESSS!? 

we're plagued by the stuff.. ALL of us. even your newborn. Lol..

sO, if my parents or my own marriage lasts one more day, it'll be because we beat the odds...

and let's not forget that there is an omni-everything God who makes amaZingly sticky "glue" ;)

anyway.. yea. i'm lookin' forward to celebrating with them. it should be fun.  :)

happy BELATED thanksgiving!!

wow.. i'm late in wishing you a happy thanksgiving! didn't mean to be.. but, i DID spend the entire day cooking, cleaning, hosting, and.. well... cleaning! =)

anyway.. if you recall... a couple weeks ago, i found a neat craft with paper cups used to make turkeys.. i thought i'd try the craft with my kids.. and i'm glad to say that our turkeys were amaZingly adorable!! ^_^

my kids insisted on making non-conventional turkeys.. i think they're wonderful!! .. oh yea, the turkeys are, too! ;-)
