iPad envy..

not the greatest name for that lil' gadget, but i'm glad that i can play with it every now & then.. if you don't already know, my husband is a tech geek. any latest gadget is an unquestionable "must-have" for him.. meanwhile, i could care less about the stuff..

sOo, when he brought home the coveted iPad, i was like, "okayyyy.. that's nice." UNTIL i used the thing!

& i don't get to play with it too often... but last night i did a quick five minute doodle.. WITH MY FINGER!! what in the world.

makes you never wanna use a pencil/paintbrush/marker/stylus again!

i'm sort of addicted. =D

by the way.. the colors are WAY more vibrant in "real life.." fun.

mission accomplished... well.. sort of.

i finished the latest projects, but to be totally honest with you, i'm not completely thrilled with the outcome.

i made a couple of dresses. my first completed sewing projects in TEN years..

(did i just say TEN years???)

ugh.

yea.. sO, anyway, i looked at some pics from the event that these dresses debuted & my emotions were nothing less than bitter/sweet.. i did not attend this event. i simply saw pics.. some encouraging to me... others that left me a bit overwhelmed with anxiety..

what's a designer to do??

i got ALL bent out of shape.. i mean really. i felt pretty frustrated. and treated unfairly.

no longer am i venting my laments, but singing the praises that come from lessons learned.

NUMBER 1...

it's been TEN years, Tosha!! ...that's my first song of rejoicing.

i'm not giving up! Pastor Ben Crandall challenges us to take this encouragement VERY seriously.. specifically about walking with the Lord, but i'm sure it's applicable to this situation as well..

sO.. i'm starting NEW projects.. gunna attempt to complete half-done ones.. and be hopeful!

and.. if all else fails, i can chronicle it ALL here with you.. my friends! .. and draw lil' birdies.

plastic.. AGAIN??

yep.. someone has done it AGAIN..

and i'm impressed.. you know, plastic bags aren't as annoying as they used to be. now, people are actually taking the time to make them more useful than to do the typical "choking turtle"

i'm not ashamed to admit it until i buy sumthin' that turns out to be cruddy crap.

& so.. yea.. last night, at 11:30ish.. i'm trying to serge the garments and the thing is goin' at a rate of about three inches per minute.. sux.

seriously.

sO.. i had to use pinking shears. (not my fav).. i'm rambling.

anyway.. i have one more outfit to complete, then off i go to do sumthin' fun for meself & my lil' princess Noah.. i think she'd LOVE to have a homemade mommy sumthin..

but, need i 4get that my lil' modpodge goodie is sittin' in the corner weeping it's eyeballs out 'cuz it doesn't have a home NOR stockings to wear.. still rambling.

i'm gettin' sumwhere, just not sure you'll ever figure it out.. sometimes, it's pretty obvious that my posts are outlets for me to de-JUNK my noggin..

somehow, my posts tend to relate at times... i did NOT intend on finding another too cute kitty.. matter of fact, if i saw this one, homeless, out in the cold, i would probably take him in, knowing that i'm allergic and would probably die of an asthma attack..

but, he's not mine. although, he SHOULD be. i'm sure of it.

my kiddos have been prayin' 4 a fuzzy sumthin' for MONTHS now.. i think it's about time we consider one that looks a lil' sumthin' like one of these.. that way, if they make a mess of the place, at LEAST i'll get a good laugh just from lookin' @ how freakishly funny they are..

the funniest part is.. they don't know that they look sO funny... hee hee..
